A little clarity
goes a long way.
Answers to common questions before your first conversation.
Is the initial case evaluation free?
You can request an initial case evaluation without an evaluation fee. Any later representation, fee structure, and costs must be discussed and agreed to separately in writing.
What should I include in my first message?
Give your name and contact details, the company involved, the general issue, and any upcoming deadline. Leave out Social Security numbers, account numbers, passwords, and confidential documents.
Does contacting the firm mean I have a lawyer?
No. An inquiry does not establish representation. The firm must complete its review and agree to represent you in writing.
Can you help if I am outside California?
Provide your state when you contact the firm. Availability depends on the matter, the jurisdiction, attorney authorization, and case acceptance. This website does not promise representation in every state.
Will my case go to court?
Not every dispute follows the same route. A review can consider communications, negotiation, agency procedures, arbitration, or litigation where appropriate. No particular approach or outcome is guaranteed.
How much does representation cost?
Fees and costs depend on the matter and the scope of work. Ask what arrangements may be available and request the terms in writing before proceeding.
What if I have a deadline, summons, or sale notice?
Call and explain the urgency. Do not assume an inquiry has been accepted or that it pauses a court, payment, foreclosure, or other deadline.
Do I need all of my documents first?
No. Start with a concise explanation and identify what you have. The reviewing attorney can explain which additional records may be useful.
